Hickory Smoked Honey Chipotle Chicken Wings

Here is a recipe that you can try with the Dexter’s Hot Sauce No. 1 Hickory Smoked Honey Chipotle sauce:

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 kg chicken wings
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup Dexter’s Hot Sauce No. 1 Hickory Smoked Honey Chipotle sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C/180°C fan-forced. Line a baking tray with baking paper. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper. Arrange them in a single layer on the prepared tray. Bake for 40 minutes, turning halfway, until golden and crisp.
  2. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the Dexter’s Hot Sauce No. 1 Hickory Smoked Honey Chipotle sauce, honey, butter and vinegar. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
  3. Transfer the chicken wings to a large bowl and toss with the sauce until well coated. Return them to the baking tray and bake for another 10 minutes, or until sticky and glazed.
  4. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve hot or at room temperature. Enjoy!
